‘What We Want’ is a close-quarters, four-episode documentary tracing CORTIS through the messy, electric work of making a debut. Our cameras live where ideas become performances: late-night writing sessions, choreography workshops, visual development, MV production, and the final push onto the stage. Rather than tell you what to feel, the series lets the process speak—small breakthroughs, scrapped takes, honest feedback, and the stubborn will to try again.
Borderless Film led the production across the U.S. and Korea from start to finish. We favored presence over intervention, keeping crews light and letting moments unfold at the artists’ pace. We protected access and continuity. The series reflects that choice: an unvarnished record of a debut taking shape.

'RM: Right People, Wrong Place' chronicles the eight months leading up to RM’s military enlistment and the process of creating his second solo album, ‘Right Place, Wrong Person,’ providing an intimate record of deeply personal moments. The documentary follows the journey of RM, the leader of 21st century pop icons BTS, as he explores his true self—both as Kim Namjoon the artist and as an individual. RM candidly confesses that he sometimes feels like an outsider in conventional settings ("Right Place, Wrong Person") and at other times feels out of place in unusual situations ("Right Person, Wrong Place").
He reflects on how honest he can be as both RM and Kim Namjoon, balancing gratitude for the attention he receives with the pressure and fear that come with his status. RM used the period between the release of his first solo album 'Indigo' and his enlistment to discover his true self, channeling his experiences and emotions into his second solo album. In capturing RM’s creative process for ‘Right Place, Wrong Person', the documentary provides profound insight into his authentic journey of introspection.
Borderless Film participated in the post-production of the film, which premiered at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival. Our team handled post-production tasks, including color grading, audio mixing, and clearance management, ensuring that every aspect of the film aligned with its creative vision.
